Luna, in Crinos, refers to two things that are truly the same: that of the
heavenly body which holds reign over the skies, night and day; and that of the
person of the goddess Luna, first among immortals, spiritual Mother to all
Verdimm. All things in Crinos revolve around Luna and Her cycles: the use of
magic, the start of rituals, the turning of seasons, and for some, time itself.
Though not all Crinosians know and understand every aspect of the lunar cycles
fully, all have at least some basic knowledge of their meanings. Those of great
magical or mystical power, however, understand all the nuances of Luna and know
that as she changes in the heavens above, so do the strengths and weaknesses of
certain magics, and the elements.
