MOZ is a MUD server written in the programming language Oz, and is of the category knows as a MOO. MOO stands for Mud Object Oriented. MUD stands for Multi-User Dungeon or Dimension. In general, a MUD is a multi-user text-based virtual environment. For information on MUDs in general, see The MUD Resource Collection or your local search engine. For information on MOOs, see The MOO-Cows FAQ.
Oz is a multi-paradigmatic language that happens not to suck. See The Main Mozart-Oz Page.
Well, MOZ has a lot of cool features, but the two most interesting (by "most interesting" I mean "completely new") are that it is trasparently multilingual and has capability-based security.
You can read more about what makes MOZ special on the features page.
The documentation for MOZ is extensive, at least for something that is unfinished. In order from most to least user-friendly:
The test MOZ server is up and running at lojban.org, port 7777. That's four sevens, not three, as this page previously claimed. Sorry about that.
MOZ is in open beta testing.
MOZ is available for download.
